WALLCOVERINGS BY MICHIEL MUYRES
INSPIRED BY NATURAL FRACTALS
Turn static spaces into dynamic spaces with the WALLCOVERINGS BY MICHIEL MUYRES
The simplicity which can be found in natural fractals is the inspiration and base for the designs. Patterns that are recognizable because of their graphical representations, which could be seen as the signature for the wallcoverings by Michiel Muyres.
The challenge for designing has been found in the arrangement of shapes and colors in a composition. How can you create a tensive design with the use of only a few colors and basic shapes? How can you create the illusion of depth and movement on a flat surface? Questions from where the designs arise. Designs that also raise new questions. Are the lines straight or skewed? Are you seeing stars or circles?
Nothing is what it seems and paradoxical enough, what you see is what you get. Do you think you can have more diversity in a static wallcovering?
